Hate myself

Depression is never ending isn't? I am sitting here on Christmas Day 2021, and I wish I had never been born, more now than most days before. I am an absolute failure in my life. From the time I was born through tomorrow I have never been greater than average. I've never been a winner or successful. It took me 25 years and a round about way to earn my bachelor's degree. I felt more like cheated the system than like I succeeded.

Most people my age are spending today with their loved ones, I was even ignored at a restaurant until I walked out and went through a drive up.

So why am I still alive? Why can't I be brave enough to end my breathing. If I only had the energy to clear my living space and to get family things to family, then buy myself a burial plot and end my life.

Why couldn't I have been normal and found someone who could love me?

Alone

I know I haven't used this platform since 2009. However, I am going through a very dark time and I need an outlet or I may not make it until Halloween.

Yes, I wish I was brave enough to kill myself. I have a bottle full of pills that I am highly allergic to, I figure that and a bottle of tequila would fix everything.

So how do I keep myself alive for a short time?

Another Point to ponder

While my last post was about customer service, this one will be about your core customer.

Now I'm a computer guy and a fairly decent hand with a camera and I've been partners in a Tack Shop since 1994. I'm also a sports guy and I've been listening to a bunch of coaches crying about how the fans aren't loyal. So here in lies the rub.

Our tack shop use to donate lots of "stuff" to junior and local associations as well as others. Only two people ever said thank you! Springer, New Mexico Junior Rodeo and Dodge City Pro Rodeo. So here we've been doing business for over 14 years and we can only remember 2 thank you's and they were both paying customers. Wow never heard a stinking thing from people we HELPED! Why? Are people so self centered that they thought they where doing us a favor? Umm, honest you could have saved us a lot of time and effort. At least if I had put the stuff I donated on E-Bay I would have made money. Guess what we no longer donate a thing let alone a dime!

So now as I scan the landscape of Professional Rodeo Associations what do I see. The people who helped them get where they are, are being forgotten at an alarming rate. Do you remember when your association started? How many Stetsons, Resistols and Bailey's filled the seats? Do you think a chunck of us cared about other sports like NASCAR? Fish sure if it's me, golf, you bet or you buying? But now when I go to these events I feel like I'm not wanted, by the event. The new "fans" your hoping to draw sure don't want my Straw or Silverbelly in their way. After all I'm just some stupid cowboy who thinks he's important because he has a camera. Your new fans words not mine. When I ask nicely for permission to cover an event I feel like I am getting the cold shoulder, I guess I should shoot for some hack website or some local newspaper who only wants a viewable wreck shot instead of shots that promote the sport for a rodeo periodical. I see traditions being uprooted and loyalties being thrown out lock stock and barrel.

So as I sit here contemplating whether or not I want to shoot rodeos in 2009 or try to change my business and attempt to make money doing weddings and such. And thinking do i really need to concentrate my IT business in Agriculture? One last thought enters my mind, if 10-12 years ago we had shown these associations the same loyalty would they be where they are today? Could guys be making millions of dollars? Could the breeding industry be as huge as it is with out the fans screaming and following the super star animals. One, about us RODEO photographers how many of us, if we had aired the dirty laundry we all know could have put a dent in the sport and not in a good way? Don't know about you but I don't think rodeo needs a TMZ or Entertainment Tonight type of vibe following it.

So I say to some of you, before you jump on the NASCAR fan model, you'd better think that there is a core fan base out there. Make us mad and when you pull into the small town and need seats filled you might not get so lucky. Oh yeah and that 99 point ride in BFE minor leauge event with some kid who JUST got picked up by your name brand sponsor, well too bad the picture didn't get taken. Ain't saying I'm just thinking.

What Happened to Customer Service?

Last Tuesday night I shot a wedding ceremony at the LDS Temple in Albuquerque. When it was over we went to the IHOP on Paseo Del Norte and Wyoming. Wow, talk about horrible. Mom went with me, and they served her meal on a dirty plate. Sorry when I order a ham and cheese omlete I really don't need any strawberry syrup to go with it, well I don't think I do! I ordered pancakes with my meal and upon arrival they where cold and hard, trust me they could have been used as clay pigeons for skeet shooting. Now latley my luck hasn't been so good at sit down restraunts. Denny's was freezing last time we went, it's pretty bad that within three bites your food is like ice and you feel like you should have gloves on to eat.

Now today was a whole other story. We went to a little restraunt here in Los Lunas called Hennriettas. Normally good food with good service, and way better prices. Wow guess I'm learning my lesson, shop local! Now if the local grocery store wasn't 10 miles away. Because I'm tired of shopping at WalMart (sorry don't want to bail out china on the walmart plan) and our Smith's Grocery store here has forgotten that this is not Mexico but NEW MEXICO!

So pay attention kids, your lack of service may very well be your job loss.

how to fix the US of A and or California

Here is how to fix the nation and California easily.

20% tax on beer
40%tax on soda pop
30%tax if you don't use marijuana
80% tax if your not gay with an additional 5% for every child born in wedlock.
20% tax on tithing oh yeah we're doing away with church tax exemption.
75% tax on diesel fuel.
110% tax if your a native born American except for native Americans who only get taxed if they have less than 2 casinos on tribal land!

And English will be replaced as the natural language of the USofA and we all will have to learn French. Except for Texas, who'll have to learn German.

Thanks for voting Democrat and Republican! Viva La Revolution!

End of the Year

So are you ready for the end of the season? Of course for those who are driving to Vegas, I'd advise stopping by the Extraordinaire in Farmington, NM over Thanksgiving. Then on to a long two weeks in Vegas.

I'd like to welcome back the Binnions Sale, to be held at the South Point resort and casino on December 4th and 5th. I'd like to thank everyone for bringing this show back. Wish I could show up in Vegas this year and wish I had $$$$ to go buy something at the sale.

Since I'm stuck at home this year during the 50th Anniversary I hope some of y'all have fun for me!
