PRCA Decideds to Suspend Move

Well the PRCA has decided not to move. Their reasoning is because the Hall of Fame Board of Trustees decided that the Hall of Fame would not move. Not that this move comes as a total surprise on my behalf. But since this is really two different groups making this change bare with me while I vent on each one.

First, Hall of Fame Board of Trustees, I know that a large majority of you are from Colorado and I know that since the HOF has been there since 1979 it has some roots in the foundation. But really, are you stoned or just stupid? When was the last time the HOF made enough money to be self sufficient? If you had supported the move you would have at least moved it someplace that has a very high tourist traffic count and that would have given it the opportunity under good solid management to become self supportive. But now, well heck I guess you better break out your check books because that is the only way it will stay afloat! Oh well one less albatross around the neck of New Mexico.

Now for the PRCA, I supposed this would happen all along. Boy finally I got one right! Now if I was just picking the horses better. New Mexico was throwing a lot of bones your way in hopes of earning your business. Now I understand that you can’t make a move without your Albatross, but really why aren’t you honest in your reasoning why? Is it because you think that the STUPID politicians will find more money for you? Pretty sad! What is even sadder is that New Mexicans were so happy you were coming to New Mexico they did really silly things like go out and tried to get more PRCA events. Even thought they know that PRCA rodeos are normally money losing ventures! I guess it just goes to show us all the character of the PRCA. Personally, I’m glad I am not doing business with you folks!

Perhaps one day the members of the PRCA will care enough about their organization and the sport of rodeo that they will get off their tail feathers and actually elect a board that will not only have good business sense but will still be Cowboys enough that they will be trustworthy and will be able to turn a missing organization around. Oh well guess there is a better shot of me being hired by NASA than that ever happening. In the meantime I guess I’ll cancel my reservation for NFR, hmm, wonder how much more a package to the ABBI event in Las Vegas will be?
